Allison Young was born and raised in Texas. She graduated from Stephenville High School. She attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. Allison also completed a Masters in Education for Educational Leadership at Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. Allison taught Secondary Education and coached softball for two years. She then taught taught Elementary Education for three years and worked two years as the Assistant Principal at Guthrie Junior High School. Allison and her husband Tyler, along with their two dogs live in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
